After watching Sidharth bringing the war hero alive on screen, we couldn’t help but say- Yeh dil mange more.
Before ‘Shershaah’, the 36-year-old has been offered quite a few projects, which he turned down for various reasons. Let’s have a look-
1. Race 3
According to an India Today report, Sidharth Malhotra was earlier offered a pivotal role in the Salman Khan starrer ‘Race 3’. There were rumours that Sidharth had rejected the offer because he didn’t want to be paired opposite Daisy Shah. However, later the actor revealed that he had to turn down the film due to date issues.
2. Bhavesh Joshi Superhero
Yes, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor was not the first choice for his film ‘Bhavesh Joshi Superhero’. Director Vikramaditya Motwane had earlier offered Sidharth Malhotra, Shahid Kapoor, and Imran Khan the male lead role. Due to unknown reasons, the project didn’t work out with Sidharth.
3. Ek Villain Returns
While Sidharth Malhotra was lauded for his performance in ‘Ek Villain’ (2014), the actor reportedly decided to opt-out of the sequel. If this media report is to be believed, Sidharth wanted to play the villain this time (John Abraham’s role) as he felt that the villain would steal the limelight.
However, it was said that director Mohit Suri didn’t agree with him and signed Arjun Kapoor to play the role.
4. Thadam Remake
Sidharth was said to be playing a double role in the Hindi remake of the Tamil action-thriller flick ‘Thadam’. As per a report, the actor apparently decided to walk out of the project due to script issues. Reportedly, he wanted some major changes in the remake to maintain the suspense.
5. Kirik Party Remake
According to reports, Sidharth was offered the lead role in the Hindi remake of the 2016 Kannada movie- ‘Kirik Party’. However, Sidharth later rejected the movie due to some unknown reasons.
