Being Human is a brand and charitable organisation established by actor Salman Khan in 2007.
Now, the Chandigarh police have summoned Salman and his sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri in an alleged fraud case related to the company.
A local businessman – Arjun Gupta, has filed a complaint stating he had opened an exclusive store under the brand Being Human Jewellery by spending Rs 2 – 3 Crore in 2018. As per a report, the businessman also said that he was assured that they would provide all kinds of backup and also promote the brand.
The complaint also said that the office which was used for the collection of the ordered stock was shut from February 2020.
However, Gupta says none of his requirements were met. The police have mentioned that Salman Khan, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and six others are called for an inquiry on July 13. They will have to verify the facts of the complaint that also includes the Being Human Foundation CEO and officials of Style Quotient (licensee of Being Human Jewellery).
Arjun Gupta has demanded registration of an FIR for this alleged fraud and also said in his complaint that he was assured that Salman Khan will come himself for the inauguration of the showroom. But in a turn of events, apparently his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma came instead.
