As per the latest Peeping Moon report, Salman, Farhan & Zoya are joining hands to bankroll a documentary based on their father’s life. Yes, you heard this right!
Reportedly, Bhaijaan’s Salman Khan Films, Farhan’s Excel Entertainment, and Zoya’s Tiger Baby Films are all set to come together to produce the writer duo- Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar’s documentary titled ‘Angry Young Men’. As per a media report, the documentary will be released on a digital platform.
Directed by Namrata Rao, the documentary is said to be projecting the magic of the era that the stalwarts Salim-Javed together created– from being the first Indian screenwriters to achieve star status to reinventing the Bollywood blockbuster format through their films, playing to the gallery, and chronicling their times’ angst.
As Pinkvilla reported, “Angry Young Men will be produced by Salman Khan Films, Excel Entertainment, and Tiger Baby. It’s basically Javed Akhtar’s kids collaborating with Salim Khan’s son. This would mark the first collaboration of Salman with the Akhtar’s.”
For the unversed, Salim & Javed have penned iconic films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’, ‘Don’, ‘Shaan’, ‘Zanjeer’, among others.
After collaborating on more than 20 movies, the duo had apparently decided to split in 1982.
