Manoj Bajpayee and Samantha Akkineni did a stellar job as ‘Srikant Tiwari’ and ‘Raji’ in Family Man 2.
Another character from the show surprisingly went viral recently – Chellam Sir, who people have been making memes about, saying he’s smarter than Google!
Now, aren’t you curious to know what remuneration did the actors receive for their impeccable performances? If this News 18 report is to be believed, then the Family Man 2 cast truly did take home a handsome fee.
The Family Man 2 Cast Salaries:
1) Manoj Bajpayee
In both seasons, Manoj Bajpayee played the titular role of Srikant Tiwari, an intelligence officer who works for the (fictitious) Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell (TASC). Manoj has reportedly been paid to the tune of Rs 10 CRORES for season 2.
2) Samantha Akkineni
South actress Samantha Akkineni made her OTT debut with the show and blew everyone’s mind with her portrayal of this season’s antagonist – the terrorist Raji. Samantha allegedly got Rs 3-4 CRORES.
3) Priyamani
As per the News 18 report, Priyamani who essays the role of Suchi (Srikant’s wife) in the series, walked home with 80 LAKHS. Fans have been left curious as to what happens between Suchi-Arvind since even season 2 did not explicitly elaborate on the mystery.
4) Sharib Hashmi
Sharib Hashmi (JK Talpade) is one of the fan-favourites and everyone enjoys his hilarious best-friend equation with Srikant. Sharib was apparently paid 65 LAKHS for the 2nd season.
5) Darshan Kumar
Darshan Kumar resumed his role as the villainous Major Sameer from ISI in this season as well, and his fee was a whopping Rs 1 CRORE!
6) Aslesha Thakur
Meanwhile, Aslesha Thakur had quite an interesting arc in 2nd season (no spoilers, but things got really dangerous at one point). Aslesha plays Srikant’s Tiwari’s daughter Dhriti and as per News 18, the young actress was given 50 LAKHS for this season.
7) Sharad Kelkar
Sharad Kelkar plays Suchi’s friend and co-worker Arvind. The two have quite a tense, complicated equation this season since it is heavily implied that Suchi might have cheated on Srikant with Arvind.
Sharad reportedly got Rs 1.6 CRORES.
8) Sunny Hinduja
In the show, Sunny Hinduja plays Milind – an important part of the TASC team. The actor reportedly got 60 LAKHS for his role!
The ending of Family Man 2 hinted that ‘coronavirus’ might be a major plot element in season 3. Let’s wait and see!
