Zareen Khan had quite the dream Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in ‘Veer’.
However, the ‘Hate Story 3’ actress has also had to face discomfort in the industry – from being constantly compared to Katrina Kaif to even facing the casting couch.
In an old interview with Pinkvilla, Zareen had shared her unpleasant experience with a director during her initial days – how he had tried to rehearse a kissing scene with her.
Zareen had said – “I don’t wanna be naming people, but in the whole pretext of trying to rehearse a scene, the other person is like you have to let go of your inhibitions, and at the time I was relatively very new, so I am like okay.”
“(He said) you know what we will do a kissing scene. I am like what? No, I am not doing any kissing scene as a rehearsal,” Zareen shared.
Another person had also propositioned her allegedly – “This person is telling me you know we can be more than friends and all and you know then I will specifically look into the projects you are getting. I will make you lead and all. I said no, I don’t work like that.”
It’s sad that such casting couch incidents, unfortunately, continue to taint the glamorous world of Bollywood. Talking about Zareen’s latest work – she was last seen in the movie ‘Hum Bhi Akele, Tum Bhi Akele’ which is streaming on Disney + Hotstar. She played a lesbian character.
