Fans are still recovering from the shock of ‘Dostana 2’ fall-out between Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan.
And if the latest reports are to be believed, then the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor has walked out of another project, citing creative differences.
As reported by Bollywood Hungama, the film in question is the Ajay Bahl-directed social comedy ‘Goodbye Freddie’, which is backed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies.
It was also supposed to pair Kartik up with Katrina Kaif. However, as per the latest development, Kartik has reportedly opted out and even RETURNED the 2 crore signing amount!
A source told the Bollywood Hungama – “The actor has now walked out of the project that was supposed to commence shoot in a few months. Apparently, creative differences developed between Kartik and the director Ajay Bahl due to which the actor decided on leaving the project. Kartik was not happy with the developed script as it was different from what was narrated to him as a one-liner plot.”
Meanwhile, another trade source revealed something different to the portal, “Kartik Aaryan had signed on with Red Chillies over two years ago. Recently Kartik shot for Dhamaka during the pandemic which was a thriller. Post shooting for Dhamaka, Kartik informed Red Chillies that he felt that doing another thriller so quickly would not be apt for his career. He requested to opt out and his request was considered. The parting was amicable between Kartik and Red Chillies.”
Kartik Aaryan’s Dhamaka will soon see a Netflix release and he has Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo remake lined up. He has a collab planned with Sajid Nadiadwala and he will also play an IAF officer in Hansal Mehta’s next!
