Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan is undoubtedly one of his highly-anticipated films of this year.
Meanwhile, there have been reports doing rounds that Maidaan might follow Radhe’s hybrid release.
As Bollywood Hungama earlier reported, Zee Studious was apparently in talks with Maidaan makers to release both in theatres and on digital platforms like ZeePlex (pay per view). However, seems like the producers are currently in no plan to release the biographical sports drama on any streaming platform.
Now, according to a Peeping Moon report, producers of the Amit Sharma directorial– Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, and Arunava Joy Sengupta have apparently released a statement denying all the speculations and asked fans not to believe these reports.
The statement reads, “We would like to share that there is currently no conversation with any streaming platform for pay-per-view release of the film ‘Maidaan’. Our focus, at present, is to complete the film keeping everyone’s safety in mind and full compliance with Protocols laid down by the Government. We request you to please reach out to us regarding any news about ‘Maidaan’.”
Meanwhile, unfortunately, the cyclone Tauktae had destroyed the movie set, an entire football stadium that was built at Madh Island last year, before the shooting could be completed.
