The 2nd wave of the Covid-19 pandemic has struck the nation badly and the healthcare crisis in India is alarming right now.
Here’s how the B-Town is helping India tackle the plight with their donation and contribution towards essentials:
1) Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar
B-Town power couple Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar have donated 100 OXYGEN CONCENTRATORS to an organisation to help battle the oxygen crisis.
Moreover, Akshay had recently pledged Rs 1 CRORE to cricketer Gautam Gambhir’s Delhi-based NGO to help provide food, meds and oxygen to those affected by the pandemic.
2) Ajay Devgn
As per Free Press Journal report, Ajay Devgn has donated Rs 1 CRORE to BMC through his ‘NY Foundation’ to set up a 20-BED COVID-19 ICU! A makeshift hospital has been erected at Bharat Scouts and Guides Hall in Mumbai, Shivaji Park.
This ICU comes equipped with para-monitors, ventilators, oxygen support and will be managed by doctors of the P D Hinduja Hospital.
3) Sonu Sood
Last year, Sonu Sood was rightly called the ‘Migrants Ka Messiah’ for his relentless work to alleviate their plight.
This year too he has been working to help people arrange beds, oxygen cylinders and medicines. Now, his Sood Foundation in collaboration with Heal Well 24 and Krsnaa Diagnostics Pvt Ltd has launched an initiative for COVID TESTING and DOCTOR CONSULTATIONS FOR FREE!
He had also recently airlifted a 25-year-old girl, Bharti, from Nagpur to Hyderabad for treatment. She had lost almost 85-90 percent of her lungs to the virus.
4) Salman Khan
Bhaijaan of Bollywood, Salman Khan again revived his Being Haangryy initiative. His trucks have been distributing food to COVID-19 frontline workers.
As per TOI report, he recently sent out 5000 FOOD PACKETS and even tasted them for quality check.
5) Ayushmann Khurrana
Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana and his wife Tahira Kashyap have come forward to help the needy by donating to the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
