Interestingly, we came to know that these 7 actors were replaced for certain roles in pretty popular films. Here’s why!
1. Kartik Aaryan
After a huge scandal involving Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan, we found out that Kartik is being replaced in the film Dostana 2. Apparently, none other than Rajkummar Rao has been roped in to fill this role. If reports are to be believed, Rao was KJo’s original choice for Dostana 2.

2. Shraddha Kapoor
Talking to PTI, director Amol Gupte revealed that it was Shraddha’s health issues that got in the way of the project which made the makers replace her with Parineeti Chopra. Since this was a ‘sports film’, physical exertion would have been required for the role and Kapoor was ill after contracting dengue.
3. Waheeda Rehman
For the movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, actress Waheeda Rehman was the initial choice to play the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s mother. However, her husband had passed away at the time which made it impossible for her to carry on with the shoot. That is when late actress Achala Sachdev got roped in for the role.
4. Rekha
Yes, Tabu made the role of Begum Hazrat Jaan Mahal in Fitoor look so natural and beautiful. But did you know this role was initially made for Rekha? If this report is to be believed, Rekha walked out of the film because of uncanny similarities between her and the character of Begum Hazrat Jaan Mahal.
5. Arjun Kapoor
Arjun Kapoor was supposed to play the role of Kabir in Kabir Singh but since Sandeep Reddy Vanga had met Shahid before, he wanted to cast Shahid only in the lead role. Hence Arjun Kapoor backed off the project and Shahid Kapoor gave us one of his best performances… ever!
6. Harshvardhan Kapoor
Andhadhun was earlier offered to Harshvardhan Kapoor but the star kid walked out of the project because of creative differences with director Sriram Raghvan. Later, Ayushmann Khurrana was offered the role and this also became a major point of success in his career. Ayushmann’s performance was so good in Andhadhun that he was presented with his first National Award for the film.

7. Abhishek Bachchan
Abhishek Bachchan was cast in the movie Paltan to play a significant role but he had left the project just before the movie went on floors. Later the makers finalized on having Harshvardhan Rane carry on with the role.
