“You Look Too P*****!”; Nushrratt Bharuccha REVEALS Why She Was REJECTED For A Big International Film!

Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha stepped into the film world in the 2006 film ‘Jai Santoshi Maa’.

The diva has steadily made her way into many more hits and her latest appearance is in the Netflix special – Ajeeb Daastaans.

In conversation with Peeping Moon, Nushrratt opens up on how she lost a big international film, for a very peculiar reason too! She says, I lost a very big film internationally because they said I am too pretty to look like someone from the slums and I was like ‘Oh, okay’ but you know what I mean, I don’t think from that point of view. It’s almost like I’m starting this journey and I don’t know where it’s going to land up. How can you ever know? How can you think from a destination point of view when you don’t even know where the destination is? So, I can’t think like that. I feel like I’ll do a large disservice to the whole film and being an actor if I start thinking that if it’ll work or not.

Talking about validation towards her performance Nushrratt adds, “I feel like there are a lot of people who are supposed to do that – the producer, the director, the writers – they’re the ones who create this. I’m old trying to bring life to their creation.”

“So it’s not really my job to think about that fact if it’ll be accepted or not. If it’s not accepted, the audience will let us know once it releases. I don’t work like that. I do it because I enjoy it and the makers have faith in me. I find it very rewarding when their faith is re-instilled. When you all say that I did a good job, I’m really proud that they’re going to hear it and be satisfied and think that it was right to get her. My validation primarily comes from that,” Bharuccha finishes.
