In 2019, former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni made his debut as a producer.
Dhoni & his wife Sakhshi’s production company is named Dhoni Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
Dhoni & Sakshi delved into production with the Hotstar Specials Roar of the Lion. Featuring Captain Cool himself, the documentary encapsulated the journey of Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings‘ comeback in the year 2018 after a two-year ban and winning the title for the third time.
However, MS Dhoni is all set to produce another project titled Captain 7, which is India’s first animated spy universe.
Currently, under pre-production, the first season of the series, which will be released sometime in 2022, will be based on Dhoni.
Announcing the project, Dhoni Entertainment Pvt Ltd took to its social media and wrote, “Captain 7′ – the beginning of India’s first animated spy universe based on MS Dhoni’s attributes, from the house of Dhoni Entertainment and Black White Orange.. We can already feel the action!”
While talking about the project, Dhoni said, “The concept and story are great. It will bring to life my other passions along with cricket.” Sakshi added, “When BWO came to us with the concept of an animation fiction show based on Mahi, we were on board. A whole lot of adventure awaits you with Captain 7.”
Captain 7 is a joint venture between Mahendra Singh Dhoni and wife Sakshi’s production house Dhoni Entertainment Pvt Ltd and Black White Orange Brands Pvt Ltd (BWO).
