Did you know Shah Rukh Khan was first offered Anil Kapoor’s role in the Academy Award-winning movie ‘Slumdog Millionaire’? According to reports, SRK rejected the movie as he reportedly felt the role didn’t suit him.
2. Irrfan Khan- Interstellar
Yes, late actor Irrfan Khan, who made his mark in several Hollywood movies, was offered a role in the Oscar-nominated Hollywood sci-fi flick ‘Interstellar’. The actor turned down the role, which eventually went to Matt Damon, due to his busy schedule filming ‘The Lunchbox’ & ‘D-Day’.
3. Deepika Padukone- Fast & Furious 7
Actress Deepika Padukone made her Hollywood debut with the actioner flick ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’ opposite Vin Diesel. But before that, she was reportedly offered a role in ‘Fast & Furious 7’, which she had to turn down as she was busy shooting SRK’s ‘Happy New Year’.
4. Hrithik Roshan- The Pink Panther 2
If reports are to be believed, the ‘Greek God’ Hrithik Roshan had reportedly rejected the Hollywood comedy-mystery movie ‘The Pink Panther 2’, which starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in a prominent role. The actor had to reject the role of Vincenzo Roccara Squarcialupi Brancaleon due to his busy schedule.
5. Priyanka Chopra Jonas- Immortals
Although Priyanka Chopra Jonas has already created her mark in Hollywood, she once turned down a role in the hit Hollywood flick ‘Immortals’ as the dates were clashing with ‘7 Khoon Maaf’.
6. Naseeruddin Shah- Harry Potter Series
Not many people know that actor Naseeruddin Shah was offered the role of Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter series. The ‘Iqbal’ actor once revealed that after Harris died after completing work on ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’ (the second film in the series) his agent wanted him to audition for the part. He allegedly rejected the role and it eventually went to Michael Gambon.
