Ever since the ‘100% occupancy in cinema halls’ news came out, movie buffs can’t keep calm.
Fans are now eagerly waiting to watch Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ in theatres.
‘Sooryavanshi’, the third film in Rohit’s cop universe after Ajay Devgn’s ‘Singham’ and Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Simmba’, was originally scheduled to release on March 24, 2020. But got postponed due to Covid-19.
However, as reported by Bollywood Hungama, the Akshay-Katrina starrer much-awaited action-packed flick may hit the theatres on April 2, 2021, on Good Friday.
The makers are reportedly in talks with the theatre owners regarding the virtual print fees, revenue sharing, and reducing the time period between the OTT release and the theatre release.
Meanwhile, according to the latest PeepingMoon report, if these discussions work, then the film may come out even before April 2. But, if it doesn’t, then the makers might go for an OTT release.
Rumour has it that an OTT platform is offering Rohit a massive deal, which is apparently the double of what ‘Sooryavanshi’ can expect from theatres.
This movie has reunited Akshay with Katrina almost after a decade.
Let’s wait for the official announcement.
