The talented Sushant Singh Rajput passed away last year on 14th June. His death case still remains shrouded in mystery.
21st January marks the 35th birth anniversary of the late actor. Fans and family alike have been praying that he gets justice.
Sushant was a brilliant and inquisitive mind and he had a deep fascination for all things science and space. He was the star who had even bought a piece of land on the moon in the region called the ‘Mare Moscoviense’ or the ‘Sea of Moscovy.’ And he was also the proud owner of the highly advanced Meade 14’’ LX-600 telescope!
Combining his passion for ‘astrophysics’ and philanthropy, SSR’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti has set up a special fund to remember her late brother!
Taking to Instagram, Shweta shared, “I am happy to announce that on 35th Birthday of Bhai, a step has been taken towards fulfilling one of his dreams. The Sushant Singh Rajput Memorial Fund of $35,000 has been set up in UC Berkeley. Anyone who is interested in pursuing Astrophysics at UC Berkeley can apply for this fund. Grateful to the Angels who made it possible. Happy Birthday my little Brother, I hope you always stay happy wherever you are! Love You #SushantDay.”
Sushant’s family had also previously declared that they would be setting up a foundation in his name – Sushant Singh Rajput Foundation. It would honour his memory and legacy by providing support to young talents in cinema, science and sports – the 3 areas that were close to Sushant’s heart!
Rest in peace, Sushant. We miss you.
