Did you know that Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan used to write letters to Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta?
Earlier on Koffee With Karan, where she made an appearance with her brother-actor Abhishek Bachchan, Shweta had revealed how she admired Aamir Khan and Salman Khan.
Talking about Shweta’s teenage crush Aamir, Abhishek revealed, “Aamir got to know and so sweetly, on every birthday, he used to write her a letter.” Admitting it, she said that it was because “we are both Pisceans”.
While Aamir celebrates his birthday on March 14, Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter celebrates her birthday on March 17.
Not only that, when ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ was released, Big B’s daughter was in boarding school and would watch it on a VCR. Shweta revealed that she loved the film so much that she made Abhishek get her the ‘Friend’ cap worn by Salman.
“We weren’t allowed to watch movies in school, so I actually sat there with a tape recorder and I recorded the whole thing on an audio cassette, and I would listen to it. I loved him and I wanted to wear that little cap that said ‘Friend’,” she added.
The ‘Ludo’ actor was then made to carry several caps for Shweta and their cousins for Mumbai to London. “I used to sleep with it under my pillow,” she further stated.
Abhishek also revealed that when they were pursuing their higher studies in Boston, Shweta made him hire a limousine and drive an hour-and-a-half to watch a live performance of Aamir and Shah Rukh Khan.
Although Shweta was never into the acting career like the rest of her family, she has appeared in few commercials with her father Amitabh.
