Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike had won 3 National Awards; Best Actor, Best Direction and Best Music Direction.
Vicky is all set to reunite with his Uri Director Aditya Dhar for the futuristic sci-fi thriller – ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’.
This upcoming superhero project is supposed to be a modern retelling of the Mahabharata character Ashwatthama – the son of Dronacharya who was given the boon of immortality.
Kaushal had undergone intensive training as he reportedly has to weigh more than 100 kgs for this role! From horse-riding to various martial art forms like jujutsu and krav maga… Vicky has truly gone all out with his character prep!
On the 2nd anniversary, of his superhit Uri, he took to Instagram to unveil the uber-cool first look posters of ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’. Check them out:
Vicky says that The Immortal Ashwatthama might be the biggest film of his career. He told HT – “Ashwatthama is Aditya’s dream project and it required the backing of a visionary like Ronnie (Screwvala) to bring this spectacle to audiences. It’s going to be a new space for me as an actor , exploring the newest form of technology alongside acting. Can’t wait to start the journey soon with this wonderful team.”
The film will go on floors in April this year. As per the latest reports, Sara Ali Khan has been roped in as the leading lady opposite Kaushal.
