Earlier, Aamir Khan came on board for the ‘Vikram Vedha’ Hindi remake.
However, the actor had walked out of the highly-anticipated project.
In the official Hindi remake of this Tamil blockbuster, Aamir was supposed to portray the gangster Vedha‘s character, played by Vijay Sethupathi in the original. Despite loving the script, Aamir reportedly left the film at the last minute after giving a green signal to begin the pre-production. Curious to know why?
Well, as per Bollywood Hungama, Aamir Khan and Vijay Sethupathi reportedly had a fallout on the sets of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’.
“Everyone was shocked to see Aamir leave the film in a jiffy. While he didn’t give a reason for his sudden exit, there is a talk in the market that he left the film since he didn’t want to portray the character of Vijay Sethupathi, after things going a little sour with him on Laal Singh Chaddha. He has ample offers in his kitty, and will do something original now,“ a source revealed to Bollywood Hungama.
The Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi was roped in to play the role of Aamir’s friend in the much-awaited social drama ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, which is the official remake of ‘Forrest Gump’.
Reports have been doing rounds that Aamir was apparently upset with Vijay because he didn’t maintain his body well. The Tamil actor had also put on some extra kilos, which acted against Vijay’s character in the film. Being a thorough professional, Aamir felt that the heavier version of Vijay wouldn’t fit the bill and decided to change the cast.
However, after Aamir’s exit, the makers again approached Hrithik Roshan for this role and he agreed.
Hrithik will be seen as gangster Vedha, while Saif Ali Khan will essay the cop Vikram‘s role, which was played by R. Madhavan in the original.
