1. Anushka Sharma
Anushka Sharma is on the top of the list and for a good reason. The ‘Pari’ actress is the Bollywood industry’s youngest actor turned producer. Sharma established her Production house Clean Slate Productions in the year 2013 with her brother Karnesh Sharma. Under the banner, films like Bulbbul, NH 10, Paatal Lok and Pari were produced.
2. Ranbir Kapoor
Ranbir Kapoor turned to production with Fox Star Studios and Phantom Films. The actor starred in the film Bombay Velvet, which he co-produced under these banners. The film’s budget is estimated to be around Rs 95 crores. He has also started his own production company with Anurag Basu titled Picture Shuru Productions. The first film to be helmed under this production house is Jagga Jasoos, also a film which Kapoor starred in.
3. Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra co-produced her film Madamji in the year 2015 along with producer-director Madhur Bhandarkar. She then founded Purple Pebble Pictures in the same year under which films like The Sky Is Pink and Firebrand were released.
4. Aamir Khan
Aamir Khan’s production house Aamir Khan Productions has delivered some of Bollywood’s highest grossing films such as Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par and Dangal.
5. Abhay Deol
Abhay Deol’s production house Forbidden Films was established in the year 2009. His most recent production is Netflix’s Chopsticks which is directed by Sachin Yardi.
6. John Abraham
John Abraham produced films like Vicky Donor and Madras Cafe under his production house’s name – John Abraham Entertainment.
7. Arbaaz Khan
Named Arbaaz Khan Production, Arbaaz Khan’s production career took a successful leap with the Dabangg series as the debut in 2010.
8. Dia Mirza
Former Miss Asia Pacific, Dia Mirza, started her production house Born Free Entertainment, in partnership with her ex-husband Sahil Sangha. They produced a movie Love Breakups Zindagi in 2011 starring Dia herself and Zayed Khan, which was directed by Sangha. Post that, the banner produced Bobby Jasoos, starring Vidya Balan and Ali Fazal.
9. Ameesha Patel
Post working in films for over 14 years, Ameesha Patel has turned to producing with her production house Ameesha Patel Productions. The house us co-owned by her industrialist friend Kuunal Goomer. The production house, though set in 2011, was in full function by 2014. Desi Magic was the first film released under Ameesha’s banner.
10. Shah Rukh Khan
Red Chillies Entertainment is an Indian film VFX and CGI production and distribution company established by Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan in 2003. It was transformed from the defunct Dreamz Unlimited. The first film made under the banner was Main Hoon Na.
