After questioning Arjun Rampal and his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades, the NCB has now summoned his sister – Komal Rampal.
Previously, the Rock On Actor had alleged that the Narcotics Control Bureau had seized his dog’s pain medication and sister’s anxiety pills!
Rampal had come under the NCB scanner after the agency conducted a raid and found ‘Utlracet’ and ‘Clonazepam’ at his residence. Both the tablets are banned under the NDPS Act, unless there is a valid prescription.
Rampal had submitted the prescriptions for the same and explained that ‘Ultracet’ had been prescribed for his dog since June, as he was suffering from joint pain. This fact was verified by his vet.
The 2nd tablet ‘Clonazapem’ was used as an SOS for anxiety by Rampal’s sister Komal, as prescribed by a Delhi-based psychiatrist. NCB had found that the prescription submitted by Arjun was ‘backdated’ and had questioned the psychiatrist – Dr Rohit Garg.
When asked about the ‘backdated’ prescription, Rampal said that he did not know about the prescription being backdated as it was his sister’s.
Looks like his Rampal’s sister Komal will be interrogated about the medication and the ‘backdated’ prescription. She was asked to appear before the NCB today, however, she has sought more time citing personal reasons, as per Republic World report.
Talking about Komal – She is a Miss India finalist (1994), an ex-air hostess and is currently a spa consultant.
Arjun had earlier told the media that he had nothing to do with drugs and had co-operated with the anti-drugs agency’s investigation – “I have nothing to do with drugs, now even the NCB is satisfied. I have submitted a valid prescription of the tablets found at my residence. The officers are really doing a good job. They are asking about those who are linked to the cases being investigated. It’s wrong to malign someone’s image and I am cooperating with the agency.”
