The pandemic has led to a boom in OTT content; more and more actors are debuting in the digital space by the day.
The latest to jump on the OTT bandwagon is Rohit Shetty, who’s all set with an action-packed punch for his digital debut.
The ‘Golmaal’ director has carved a niche for himself in the Bollywood with his signature action-comedies. After creating a successful film cop universe with Singham and Simmba, Shetty will now step into the OTT world with an 8-part, cop action-thriller web series.
“Rohit will be the creator and showrunner of a cop action-thriller series consisting of about eight episodes. It is inspired by true events,” a source close to the film’s team told PTI.
The series is yet-to-be-titled and will kickstart only after Rohit finishes ‘Cirkus’ with Ranveer Singh. Based on William Shakespeare’s classic play ‘The Comedy of Errors’, Cirkus revolves around two sets of identical twins who were accidentally separated at birth. It stars Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Sharma.
The release of Shetty’s actioner flick ‘Sooryavanshi’ starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif is also eagerly awaited.
