It’s been 6 months, but the Sushant Singh Rajput death case has still not found closure.
While the AIIMS report ruled out ‘murder’, CBI has not concluded its verdict and stated that their probe is still ongoing.
The noise around the SSR case mostly seems to have died down, but fans are still eagerly awaiting CBI’s final report. When questioned by Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy about the status of the investigation, the CBI sent back a reply stating that ‘no aspect has been ruled out’.
It was shared by Advocate Ishkaran Bhandari on Twitter –
The CBI official mentioned that the investigating team along with senior officers visited all places of concern- Aligarh, Faridabad, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Manesar (Gurgaon) and Patna. The reply also stated that the team had visited the ‘place of incident’ (SSR’s flat) numerous times for ‘better understanding of circumstances related to the incident’.
“During investigation, advanced mobile forensic equipment including latest softwares have been used for extraction and analysis of relevant data available in the digital devices and also for analysis of dump data of the relevant cell tower locations,” the CBI said.
“The CBI is conducting investigation in a thorough and professional manner using latest scientific techniques. During investigation, all aspects are being looked at and no aspect has been ruled out as on date,” concluded the report.
The SSR Case has been investigated by multiple agencies – Central Bureau of Investigation, Enforcement Directorate as well as the Narcotics Control Bureau. Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, who was at the heart of all the investigations, was granted bail in October after Bombay HC declared her ‘not guilty of illicit trafficking and drug dealing’.
