Recently, during Shiv Sena’s annual Dussehra rally, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray had broken his silence over SSR’s death and taken a dig at Kangana Ranaut.
The Manikarnika actress then retaliated with a scathing video on Twitter, a ‘Message To Maharastra Government’.
As reported by NDTV, in his speech, Uddhav Thackeray had defended his son Aaditya Thackeray in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, insisting that – ‘We are clean’.
“Someone who committed suicide is now a Bihar son. He may be, but because of him, you maligned sons of Maharashtra. You even maligned my son Aaditya. So whatever you said, keep it yourself. We are clean.”
He had further added, in a veiled attack on Kangana, “Mumbai is PoK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir), there are drug addicts everywhere – they are painting such a picture. They don’t know in our house we grow tulsi not ganja. Ganja fields are in your state, you know where, not in our Maharashtra.”
Uddhav Thackeray had then spoken about Mumbai Police and expressed pride by saying, “I’m proud of my Mumbai Police. The police who caught a terrorist alive – the only police. I’m proud of the police.”
“As I am chief of Sena, I am also of Mumbai police. This is the same police who have sacrificed their life saving you. How can you even say this? Comparing Mumbai with POK is insulting PM Narendra Modi. If there is a PoK in India, isn’t it a failure of Modi then?”
In response, Kangana took to Twitter with a barrage of tweets and an angry video message for Uddhav Thackeray.
In her video, Kangana responded – “You said such wrong things about Himachal, which is known as the birth-place of maa Parvati and is known as a ‘dev bhoommi’. Being a Chief Minister, you have tried to shame an entire state because you are upset with a girl, who is of your son’s age.”
“CM you were upset with me because I compared Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir but in your speech, you compared India to Pakistan. I have noticed that no one will come to aid you if you are a ‘desh-bhakt’.”
She concluded the video by saying, “You cannot be in power all the time. You are only a government servant and the people of Maharastra do not resonate with you, they are not happy with you. If a person loses one’s honour, it cannot be regained.”
She had also tweeted:
