Ranveer Singh’s constant sneaking into Rohit Shetty’s office has raised multiple questions amongst fans on what’s brewing between the two.
Our assumptions had turned out to be true as Rohit Shetty has begun work for his new directorial, a situational comedy movie titled ‘Cirkus‘.
‘Cirkus’ is an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s play ‘The Comedy of Errors’ and is also the remake of Bollywood retro film ‘Angoor’ starring Sanjeev Kumar and Deven Verma.
In conversation with Pinkvilla, a source reveals, “Much like other Rohit Shetty films, this one will also feature a big ensemble of actors. But there are four primary characters in the movie that’s loosely adapted from a play. The film has Ranveer headlining it but will also have two other heroines and another actor.“
Reportedly, the cast is said to be star-studded with Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde and Varun Sharma in the quadruple lead. The remainder cast with pivotal characters include Siddhartha Jadhav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Mukesh Tiwari, Anil Charanjeett, Ashwini Kalsekar and Murli Sharma.
Cirkus is set to be going on floors in November this year and will be shot extensively in Mumbai, Ooty, and Goa. Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series presents the film in association with Reliance Entertainment while Rohit Shetty is producing it too.
The same source reveals, “Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde are playing the two female leads in Rohit Shetty’s next. Along with that, Varun Sharma will also be joining the trio. It’s a madcap family entertainer with the trademark Rohit Shetty stamp on it. It’s an out and out comedy. When Rohit approached all the three actors Jacqueline, Pooja and Varun to star in his film, they immediately came on board. They have all signed on the dotted line.”
