On Tuesday, Jaya Bachchan spoke in defence of Bollywood and the alleged drug row saying, “Jis thali mein khate hai usme chhed karte hai”.
Now, Ranvir Shorey has reacted to that very statement with a Tweet!
is what Shorey tweeted. This translates to, “They decorate plates for their children. Only pieces are thrown away for us. We pack our tiffin ourselves and go to work. Nobody has given us anything. What we have, these people couldn’t take that from us. If they could, they would have given that as well to their kids.“
At the Parliament’s monsoon session, Jaya Bachchan said, “People in the entertainment industry are being flogged by social media. People who made their names in the industry have called it a gutter. I completely disagree. I hope that the government tells such people not to use this kind of language. Jis thali mein khate hai usme chhed karte hai. Galat baat hai (they bite the hand that feeds, it’s wrong).”
