Sushant Singh Rajput, a Bollywood actor but also a true genius, passed away by suicide on the 14th of June and the mourning continues till date. The day of his death, Juuhi Babbar Sonii, the director of the late actor’s first play (titled Pukaar) posted a picture of Sushant with members of the act.
The image, although posted the last month, has again resurfaced on the internet and has now gone viral.
Juuhi captioned the post, “I directed Sushant in 2 plays. In 2007 he acted in his first play, #PUKAAR & the other was a comedy, Dauda Dauda Bhaaga Bhaaga sa. Infact he was spotted by a Balaji casting person while he was handling the tickets at the box office counter for one of the plays.
TV aur filmstar banney ke baad bhi apne theatre ke dino ke doston se juda raha.
Aur mere toh ek call par hamesha, behad busy hone ke baavajood, #Ekjutetheatregroup ke shows aur events par pohoch jaata tha.
Mujhe Didi bulaata tha..& hamesha bohot pyaar se kehta tha “didi u were my first director”
Sushant tumhe dekh kar hamesha kitni khushi hoti thi….yeh kya kiya mere bhai? Aur kyun kiya????????”
She mentions in the post how he called her his ‘first director’ and that he was always one call away. Sushant called her ‘didi’, an endearing term given to someone who is considered an older sister.
Sushant’s last film, Dil Bechara, is all set for its release TODAY on Disney+ Hotstar at 7:30pm. Starring alongside the late actor is Sanjana Sanghi who makes her cinematic debut with this Mukesh Chhabra directorial.
