The Title Track teaser for Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Dil Bechara is out! While we wait for the song to drop officially, here’s a sweet behind-the-scenes story shared by the song’s choreographer, Farah Khan.
Claiming it to be one of his favourites from the album, the Director Mukesh Chhabra revealed that Dil Bechara’s Title Track was the Last Song that Sushant shot for. He also added that it was a One-Take song, which Sushant pulled off effortlessly, being the good dancer that he is! He also said that Farah charged nothing for choreographing the song.
“Farah Di rehearsed the song with Sushant for a day and then shot the whole song in one shot. That’s it. Just one shot! The song picturisation is deceptively simple and Sushant who was a very good dancer, made it look effortless.”
Farah Khan who choreographed Dil Bechara’s title track stated that the song was close to her heart since it was the first time she worked with Sushant, despite being friends with him for a long time.
Talking about the song, Farah Khan revealed that they had rehearsed the title track for just one entire day and then wrapped up shooting it within half a day….that too in One-Shot!
“I wanted the song to be done as a one-shot song because I knew Sushant would be able to do it perfectly.”
Farah Khan further added – all that Sushant wanted as a reward for his hard work was some homemade food from her. Talking about how alive and happy Sushant looks in the song, she said that the title track would always be special for her.
“As a reward for nailing it perfectly, all Sushant wanted was food from my house. I got home-cooked food for him. When I see the song, all I can see is how alive, how happy he looks in it..and this song is always going to be very special for me.”
The choreographer also reminisced about the time Sushant appeared as a celebrity guest on a reality dance show that she was judging. She declared – “That was the only time a celebrity guest had danced better than the contestants on that show.”
Dil Bechara’s title track, composed and sung by Music Maestro A.R Rahman, will be released on 10 July at 12 Noon.
