In connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case, a complaint has been filed in Bihar against actress Rhea Chakraborty, accusing her of abetting the suicide of the late actor.
Hailing from Muzaffarpur, Kundan Kumar, who is a resident of Patahi locality, filed his petition before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Mukesh Kumar. The hearing for the case is scheduled to be held on 24 June.
Kumar’s lawyer Kamlesh has told reporters that he has accused Chakraborty of ‘financial and mental exploitation’ of Rajput. “My client is a huge fan of Rajput and has been deeply distressed by his suicide. He has filed his complaint under IPC Sections 306 (abetment of suicide) and 420 (fraud).”
Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide on 14 June has caused a lot of anguish and outrage, especially in his hometown Bihar. This is the second such petition to be filed in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur court in the aftermath of the tragedy. Earlier, a local advocate named Sudhir Kumar Ojha had filed a similar case against Bollywood personalities like Ekta Kapoor, Karan Johar, Salman Khan, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali under IPC Sections 306, 109, 504 and 506!
