Bollywood Celebrities who died in 2020

Bollywood has never felt so horrified with the passing away of remarkable powerhouses in one year and it hasn’t even been a whole 6 months yet of 2020. This year marks the demise of celebrities who will always be remembered for their work and contributions.

1. Rishi Kapoor

Rishi Kapoor, one of Bollywood favourite superstars, passed away on the 30th of April, 2020 at the age of 67. The megastar’s debut film was Raj Kapoor’s film Mera Naam Joker, in which he was only 18 years old. Kapoor passed succumbed to leukemia that caused his death. His last film is soon to be released, called Sharmaji Namkeen.

2. Irrfan Khan

Irrfan Khan, another Bollywood darling, unfortunately passed away on the 29th of April this year at the age of 53. He passed away due to Neuroendocrine tumor, a form of cancer that he had been suffering from. The actor’s last film was Angrezi Medium, released in the month of March, 2020.

3. Wajid Khan

Music composer Wajid Khan passed away on the 31st of May, 2020 because of an untimely cardiac arrest. Wajid was also diagnosed with a kidney disorder and some reports state that he also was infected with the corona virus. He passed away at the age of 42. Sajid-Wajid, the infamous duo’s works include music of movies like Dabangg, Wanted, and many more.

4. Basu Chatterjee

Director and screenwriter Basu Chatterjee passed away on the 4th of June, 2020, at the age of 90. He reportedly was suffering from old-age health related issues. His major works are that of the 90s such as Rajnigandha, Baaton Baaton Mein, Chameli Ki Shaadi and more.

5. Nawab Banoo AKA Nimmi

Famous actress Nimmi passed away on the 25th of March this year due to an undisclosed sickness followed by a heart attack. The 90s Diva was 87 years old when she died. She starred in movies such as Daag, Aan, Barsaat, and more.

6. Sushant Singh Rajput

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on the 14th of June this year at the age of 34. He was a great talent with a lot in store. The actor was suffering at the hands of clinical depression and took his life in his apartment. His success ran all the way from soap operas to movies. He starred in M.S. Dhoni: The untold story, Kedarnath, Raabta, and more.
